Industrial Design Tuesday Vol III: Ball-Nogues' Rip Curl Canyon, MFA, Houston, TX

Although I do not think much about Frank Gehry, I do appreciate the collaborations that come forth from his work. Ball-Nogues is a studio run by Ben Ball and Gaston Nogues, and based in our very own Echo Park in the heart of Los Angeles. This particular piece has to be my favorite Ball-Nogues piece. I love using cardboard as a medium. It's cheap, it's easy to manipulate, and for a while, it was an extremely underestimated material. Structurally, cardboard is extremely rigid especially when sandwiched together. Conclusion: I LOVE CARDBOARD! [and here is the proof]
